Yash Tonk is believed to be a very popular actor on the small screen as well as on the big screen. He completed his graduation in Delhi. He did a few fashion shows during his college days. Later he moved to Mumbai and tried his luck in modeling. He has also acted in theatres. Soon after he got his first real break, which is to perform in the video of `Jai Jai Shiv Shankar` with Maria Goretti. Within a very short span he bagged his first television serial `Just Mohabbat`. He also appeared in popular commercials like Vadilal, Clinic All Clear, Coke and Close Up. But the major turning point in his career came when he was offered the character of Kunal Sikand in the Balaji soap `Kahiin Kisii Roz`.

Yash Tonk has also worked in another popular K-series soap `Karam Apna Apna` portraying the character of Shiv Kapoor. Yash also appeared with his real-life spouse Gauri in the celebrity dance show `Nach Baliye 2 ` and was declared the first runner-up of the show. Apart from these he has also worked in other serials like `Kundali`, `Just Mohabbat`, `Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi` and many others.

Yash Tonk is also seen making a mark in the Bollywood flick and the home production of Ekta Kapoor `Kuch To Hai` starring Tushhar Kapoor, Natasha and Esha Deol. He has also been seen in brief roles in `Ishq Vishq Pyar Vyar`, `Jaanasheen`, `Kucch To Hai`, `Wrong Number`, `Main Aur Mrs Khanna` and many others. In his personal life he got married to his co-star Gauri aka Nisha of `Kahiin Kisii Roz`. The couple has a daughter.
