
Swapnil Joshi, another emerging talent of the television industry was born and brought up in the `city of dreams`
Mumbai. His birthday is on 18th October. His family comprises of him, his parents and thousand odd friends who are also a part of his family. He has completed his graduation in the stream of commerce from Sydehnam College in Mumbai. He is also a qualified lawyer.
He was basically an introvert initially and is slowly coming in terms with the media in the recent times. He is opening up as a person and is trying to explore the other side of himself, which displays a very fun-loving and larger than life nature. He is married and is having a whirlwind affair with his wife. Her name is jui and she is a dentist by profession. Theirs was a love marriage and they tied the knot in January 2005. In his free time he likes to listen to music, go for long drives and travel. If he would not have been an actor then he would not have any material existence in this world as he feel that he was born to act. He claims that he is the kind of person who gets along well with everybody.
Most of the child artists have not been able to make it big in the world of tellydom and filmdom. But Swapnil Joshi is an exception. He has carved out a niche for himself in the hearts of his fans in the television industry. His first brush with acting in soaps came at the age of nine. He got a call from the office of Dr. Ramanand Sagar who offered him the role of young Kush in the `Uttar Ramayana`. He has acted in one Marathi serial titled `Adhuri Ek Kahani` as the character of Yash. But the major turning point in his career came when he was offered the role of Sam, the prodigal son of the Singh household in the much popular soap, that he catapulted to fame. He also undergoes a complete image makeover in the serial.

He transforms into a responsible man who sees through his wife`s eyes and is ready for a showdown. This soap also made him mature into one of the best artistes of the television industry. His performances in the other soaps like `Shri Krishna`, `Amanat`, `Hadh Kar Di` and `Dil Vil Pyar Vyar` along with a cameo in the Nana Patekar starrer `Gulam-E-Mustafa` has created waves in the hearts of the audiences. Recently he is giving marvelous performances in `Comedy Circus` along with VIP. The best part of this show was when Swapnil enacted the art of the sex symbol Rakhi Sawant. Unfortunately he was soon voted out of the show but got another chance to portray his skills through the wild card entry. There also he along with his partner VIP put up a high-class comedy act on the Hizras. His Aamir Khan look-alike underlip beard has made him stand out from other actors especially when the matter is of recognition. His looks can make him pass of as a school kid. At times it is a hindrance for him but he takes it as a compliment as it will benefit him in the long run by giving him the chance to portray the lead. He is also working on his looks and believes that his fans will love him in the brand new look in the serial `Harre Kaanch Ki Choodiya`.
Among the actors who top the list of Swapnil Joshi`s inspiration are Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. He particularly likes the energy level of the former and believes that he is another word for attitude on screen. According to him Salman Khan is a complete package with looks and innocence on his face and the right kind of physique required for a hero. Among his favorite directors he is particularly fond of Rakesh Sarang. He is all set to make a mark in the
Bollywood film industry as well. He is working on a film called Chanchal`. He has also some dreams about his future. Someday he would like to write and direct. Before he retires from the profession of acting he would want to own a restaurant, as he is fond of the hospitality business. As far as his acceptance is concerned he has immense faith in his fans and know that they will never let him down. His fans are also eager to watch more of this talented actor and completely agree that he will have lots more in his kitty to continue entertaining his audiences for many years to come.
