| Shraddha Nigam
| |
| The extremely talented and charming actress Shradhha Nigam seems set to make an entry into the Bollywood Film Industry with many substantial roles in her kitty. The passion for acting developed in her when she was still in college. At that point of time it was just an extra curricular activity but soon after that matters just took off and she found herself as a successful actor on the small screen. After setting the small screen on fire with much acclaimed performances in soaps like `Krishna Arjun` and `Choodiyan`. She is much excited about her role in the film titled `Yathaarth`. In this film she plays the role of a mentally retarded child and her performance in this film can put her in line for the National Award.
According to her film was based on a very unusual and heart rendering theme. She does not want her audience to expect some entertainment out of this film but instead appreciate the performances of the protagonists that powers the whole film with pathos and irony. The entire story of the film revolves around the life of a Dom, a person who performs the last rites in a cremation ground and his mentally retarded daughter Bijuria played by Shradhha Nigam. She also appeared in a brief appearance in the film `Salaam India` paired opposite Sanjay Suri.
Shradhha Nigam has also occupied a special place in the hearts of with her roles in serials like `Krishna Arjun` and `Choodiyan`. The actress then went out of the television industry for a long span. Recently she made a great comeback through the serial `Thodi Si Zameen Thodi Si Aasman`. She always believed that the show was great and immediately jumped at the offer. She is also believed to make her appearance in another serial called `Hum Tum` which will be aired on Zee Next channel.
As the approach seemed to be new and interesting she could not restrict herself from taking up the assignment. She is very happy about her comeback in the small screen and claims that she would make this return of hers worth watching by her sincere fan following. While explaining the reason for her long break she remarked in a recent interview that she wanted some time out from the small screen by enjoying her life and not by making a living. She also holds the belief that Bollywood no longer holds the charm for her, instead the television industry is much more alluring giving her a lot of scope to perform and excel in her acting skills. She also does not feel uneasy when she takes up the place of a replaced actor in a particular soap.
She believes that it is all a part of the game. She is also open to doing crossover cinema if she gets a meaty role to feature in. her best performance still date is `Krishna` because she seems to be completely in love with the `kick-ass` image. Her dream role is that of Rani Mukherjee in the award-winning film `Black` by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also that of Kajol in `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai` by another renowned filmmaker Karan Johar. In her spare time this actress spends her time reading and watching films. She believes that she will be successful enough to cast the magical spell of acting on her sincere fans for a long time to come and her fans also wish the same for her.
