Rucha Gujrati is a very popular face in the television industry. She catapulted to fame by appearing in a negative role in the famous soap `Kkusum` as the spoilt brat of the rich and famous industrialist Abhay Kapoor. She carved out a niche in the hearts of her fan following by the character portrayal of Kali who made all the life of her near and dear ones a complete hell. Now for over a year she has been winning over the same fan following by her melodramatic performances in the Star Plus noon show `Bhabhi`. This young, bubbly and talented actress was born on 24th January. Her dad is a pathologist and her mother is a homemaker. She has two younger twin sisters Prachi and Esha who are inclined towards the study of medicine. After completing her schooling from Mary Immaculate High School in Borivilli she did a Diploma in Medical Lab Technology. But she was not new to the arc lights and has got her share of fame as a child artiste. After completing her degree she did some films like `Sahebzade`, `Shikari`, `Dancer`, `Hum Hain Kamal Ke` and a soap titled `Tak Dhina Dhin`. Soon after she got tempted by the world of glamour and did not continue with her career in Pathology. Among her likes and dislikes she is fond of listening to music, dancing, swimming and horse riding. She is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. The only thing she dislikes about herself is her short temper.

Rucha Gujrati was completely into the profession of modeling when a model coordinator suggested that she should audition for the role of Yuvikka in `Kaahin Kisii Roz`. At that point of time she was not inclined towards television but she decided to give it a try. She did not manage to bag that role but managed to get a role in `Kkusum`. She was chosen for the role of Kumud but later she was swapped onto play the role of Kali, as she resembled Poonam Narula in some odd way. She claimed in a recent interview that `Kkusum` being her first show is also her first love. She opted for the role because it was a mind-blowing role with shades of grey and was quite challenging. She worked for the soap nearly for two years and it was indeed a pleasant and memorable experience. She has a very good relation with all her co-stars and especially with Chetan Hansraj and Aashka Goradia she is very close. At present she is very much single and would not like to get into any commitments before she sets a strong footage in the industry. In the near future she is aiming to work in films once the soap `Bhabhi` comes to an end. She believes in living life for today and her fans appreciate her immense potential as a budding actor. This immensely talented actress is sure to shine in the years to come.
