Pallavi Kulkarni has carved out a special niche for herself in the hearts of her audience with her extremely strong role in `Vaidehi-Ek Aur Agnipariksha`. She is regarded as a brainchild of the actor-turned-producer Aruna Irani. Simple yet charming this extremely talented actress has made it big in tellydom without the help of any `saans-bahu` flicks or without the backing of any top-notch production houses.

Soon after graduating in hotel management she took to modeling and she claimed in a recent interview about that career step of hers being very planned and nothing accidental. As she was very interested in commercial marketing she was soon showered with ad offers and she took them up without a second thought. Her popular ad campaigns include the famous `paanch` campaign for the multinational brand Coca Cola with the Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

Pallavi Kulkarni had done many soaps including `Aaj Bhi Ateet`, `Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat` and `Kehta Hai Dil`. The first two did not serve much of her purpose but the last one catapulted her to fame. She also claims that it was an amazing experience. The serial itself enjoyed a successful run and brought her into limelight. She became a household name and every body was one with her against the torturous tantrums of her mother-in-law.

Another turning point of her career came when Pallavi Kulkarni was offered the role of Vaidehi in the soap itself titled `Vaidehi`. It was the story of a young and enthusiastic girl who comes from a middle class background. She had nurtured the dreams of a fairy-tale marriage, a loving husband, a supportive family and a small house which she can call her very own. One day thunder struck upon their family when they got the proposal of one of the richest families of the country, the Jaisinghs for their simple daughter. Vaidehi is however apprehensive about the fact that why would a handsome and rich male like Aryavardhan would tie the knot with her. When she meets him, he convincingly manages to sweep her off her feet. But soon after going through the fairy tale wedding and entering the mansion of her husband she realizes that she had been trapped in the marriage. Her life comes to a standstill by this nightmare. It is then she has to go through the ultimate test called `Agnipariksha`.

This extremely talented actress does not like to overdo herself at work. She works only for fifteen days in a month and the rest fifteen she keeps for herself completely. In this time she mainly takes up ad campaigns, reads a lot and spends quality time with her family and friends. Although she is quite a recognizable actress on television, she herself is not a movie buff. She likes to catch up on serials that have real situations and are shot realistically. She is particularly fond of `Saans` and `Astitva-Ek Prem Kahani`. She also does not want to play an aged woman right now in her career as she does not want to get type-cast in those characters.

This extremely gifted actress is not much of a planner and is very happy doing one serial at a time. She would also like to make an entry in Bollywood but is averse to the idea of exposing onscreen. She is not very comfortable with the idea of bold scenes as she even has to go back home and watch television and films with her family. Her huge fan following sincerely wishes that she would go a long way in her future and would scale heights of success in the times to come.
