| Naman Shaw aka Nakul
| |
| Naman Shaw, the cute hero who was presented the `Best Smile Award` in the 2003 Grasim Mr. India pageant is now all set to become one of the blue-eyed man of the soap queen Ekta Kapoor. He is a Sagittarius by birth being born on 18th December. He was brought up in the `City of Joy` and completed his schooling from St. Joseph`s College. He then participated in the Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj in the year 2005 where he could not make it to the top.
But destiny had other plans for him. After the show got over he started giving auditions and looking out for a career in acting. The acting bug had caught him strong and he also shifted to Mumbai and took up a few modeling assignments. He made his television debut with one of the most popular Balaji soaps `Kasamh Se`.
Soon after his track ended in that serial he was seen in `Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi` as nakul Virani, the son of Ganga and Sahil Virani. When the main track of Nakul got over there he was asked to play the sweet and simple character of Girish in the newly launched serial of Balaji Productions `Kasaamh Se`. In the initial stages he gets engaged to the female lead Kasturi but the twists and turns in the events lead to a more interesting turn in the story.
Naman Shaw claims that the most interesting part of his acting career is that he can relate to all his characters. In the beginning he finds himself related to the character of Pushkar and then again he does not find any relevance with the character of Nakul in `Kyunki`. Following that Girrish is again like Naman in the beginning. He is happy with the pleasant characters that he is being offered because personally he feels that he does not like to do those screaming and shouting. It has been a lovely journey with him in Balaji and after being offered major roles in three Balaji soaps which are doing well he could not have asked for anything more.
As a newcomer in the industry he has been treated extremely well and made to feel very comfortable. He claims that on the sets of Balaji they are like one family and it is a completely separate world out there for him. He is especially very close to Joydeep, Sahil, Prachi, Neel and Ali Merchant. He is very happy about being called the Balaji boy. In future he plans to do films because that is his ultimate destination. As of now he has been offered roles in B or C grade films, which he is not interested in doing. If he receives any good offers from any popular or new filmmakers, which have him in a performance, oriented role he will definitely do it. He does not believe in future plans and even he keeps on asking himself the same question time and time again but could not manage up an answer.
This actor is also a hardcore believer in astrology and numerology and at many instances he depends on them. On the personal front also Naman Shaw had always been down-to-earth and likes being that way. He does not get along with all people and does not throw tantrums at all. He wishes for happiness, fame and money throughout his life. His fans wish that he would go miles in the times to come and scale all heights of success.
