The sweet and talented actress Mansi Parekh has occupied a special place in the heart of her fans with her mind-blowing performance in the popular soap `India Calling`. She was born on 10th July and hails from a Gujrati family in the tinsel town.

She is the only daughter of her parents and is very much into reading and loves to play guitar whenever she manages to get some free time. She has completed her B.A. in English Literature and Indian Classical Music. She is a trained classical singer and has performed on stage quite a few times. She was always interested in singing, as she believed singing is an expression of one`s voice while acting is an expression of ones face and body. She claims that music is her first love and she also took part in the Channel V pop stars contest and was one of the six finalists in the Indian subcontinent. She claims that both singing and acting has helped her a lot as both are creative art forms.

According to her the most important thing in her life is her self-confidence because to be in front of the camera one needs to get rid of her inhibitions. She chose acting as her profession as it is a very interesting and creative field. She would have been a singer if not an actor. She also plans to release a music album next year.

Mansi Parekh made her debut in acting with the serial `Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi`. She got selected in the talent hunt organised by the Balaji Telefilms and was soon spotted as a very bright actress. Soon after she was offered `India Calling`. Her favorite role is that of `India Calling` till date as in that soap her character was very sweet and well accepted by audience. She also feels that she could completely relate to that character in her real life. Very soon Mansi Parekh will appear in the lead role in Sunjay and Binaifer Kohli`s `4` to be aired on Sab TV. This role is in sheer contrast to what she has played earlier. Here she plays an exciting tomboyish character named Taranpreet paired opposite three close friends.

The soap is all about the transformation of this tomboyish girl into a stunning woman. Right now she is enjoying her acting career because that has given her both fame and recognition. Her dream role would be something very challenging and would also give her much scope to perform, in short it would be something like the role of Vidya Balan had played in `Parineeta`. This ambitious actress at present completely wants to focus on her career and would not like to get into any emotional bonding.
