The very talented and gifted actress Gurdeep Kohli shot to fame by character portrayal of Dr. Juhi Singh in the very popular weekly `Sanjivani - A Medical Boon`. She was working as a visualiser in an ad agency and then started modeling. Following that she has acted in many commercials before that and the most famous brands that she endorsed include Cadbury`s, Ponds, ICICI, Bazee.com, Ariel and Nestle. She has also featured in the music video of Pankaj Udhas titled `Mujhse Dosti Karige`. With her lovely eyes, innocent looks and captivating smile she immediately got noticed and it was not very long before she got to play the lead role in that soap.

From then on there has been no looking back for this extremely talented actress. She does not believe in any formal training in acting but she has always been a big time `nautanki` at home. Ekta Kapoor also offered her the role of Aamna Shariff in "kaahin Toh Hoga`.

The renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker also screen tested her for `Swades`, which starred the heartthrob of millions of teenagers, Shah Rukh Khan. But she was never in a hurry to reach the summit. She wanted to tread on the glamour road very stealthily and wanted her serials to reach a logical conclusion. She is very young and wants to take her own sweet time to get there to the top.

At present she is also not engaged with anybody and wants to concentrate wholly on her career. She considers marriage as something sacred and sacrosanct. Unlike her character in `Sanjivani` if the guy`s parents do not accept her she would not like to continue the affair and would opt out for somebody else. This talented actress is very happy in her real life as well and is having a gala time after getting married with another popular actor of the small screen called Arjun Punj. She is very lucky to have Arjun in her life and remarked in a recent interview that Arjun makes her feel in the top of the world. In the future she is also looking forward for meaty roles in films and she is looking to play something substantial to come her way.
