| Chief Ministers of India

| At the state level, Chief Minister in India is the voted head of the government of a sub-national for example constituent federal state. They are enthroned with most of the executive powers. By legislators of the political party or coalition, the chief minister is elected and the election also requites an assembly majority. Chief minister serves a five-year term with a precondition of re-election. By an inference the term Chief minister, is often enforced to various other high ministerial offices, e.g. in a princely state before or during the British raj.
In India, there are a total of thirty Chief Ministers selected by all twenty-eight states and two out of the seven union territories. They are:
