Chhota Udaipur, Gujarat

Chhota Udaipur is a town in Vadodara district of Gujarat.It is situated 100 Km. from Vadodara.The local administration of the area is looked after by the Municipality.This ancient town was founded by Baji Raval. In 1813 Rayasing, a descendent of Baji Raval, built a fort there. The place is famous for historical old palaces and temples. Visitors can make Chhota Udaipur, their base for visiting tribal Gujarat.

According to the 2001 census report, Chhota Udaipur had a population of 22,987. Males constitute 51% of the population and females constitute 49% .11% of the population is less than six years of age. The average literacy rate is 69%, which is higher than the national standard at 59.5%. While 76% of the male population is literate female literacy rate accounts for 62%.
