Bharat Arun, born on 4th December, 1962, in
Vijayawada, of
Andhra Pradesh, was a right-arm medium-pace bowler and a right-hand lower-order batsman .
In the semi-final of the Duleep Trophy, of 1986-87, this talented cricketer, scored a glorious 149, and contributed 221 runs at the seventh wicket stand in collaboration with the W.V.Raman. These two dauntless players were pursuing a huge total of 516 , achieved by the West Zone, who had set it as a target for Bharat Arun`s South Zone.
Arun also landed up with a praiseworthy 107* for India Under-25 against the opponent Sri Lankans , who arrived in India, on a tour.

Bharat Arun made his debut appearance in the Test match of India Vs Srilanka, at Kanpur in December 1986. He bowled for 27 overs, and fetched 3 wickets, in his very first Test apearance . This also happened to be his Test optimal achievement.
The same year on December 24, 1986, Bharat Arun, introduced himself to One-Day Internationals. His ODI debut was in the India Vs Sri Lanka at Kanpur. He bowled for 8 overs, giving 43 runs and seizing one wicket. His bowling trap compelled A Ranatunga to succumb to a lbw.
Bharat Arun, demonstrated his caliber, only to kindle possibilities of considering him as a suitable associate player and an opening player for
Kapil Dev in the 1980s.
He got the opportunity to venture out for the tour to Sharjah in 1987, and he participated in all the three matches. However, he could not leave an indelible impression of himself.
His last ODI was in the India Vs Pakistan at Sharjah, on April 10, 1987 . unfortunately, he went wicketless in his last match.
Apart from Team India, Bharat Arun, had also cast himself in Tamil Nadu Squad, that emerged victorious in the Ranji Trophy in 1987-88 .
In fact in the 49 first-class matches that Bharat Arun had taken part, he had bagged a fair 1652 runs, at an average of 30.59.
