Sagar Kashyap is a former under-18 Indian tennis player
. He is the youngest player from India to officiate at the Wimbledon Championship. He has played at various national and international tournaments. He has seven WTA and ATP championships under his record.
Early Life of Sagar Kashyap
He was born in Gokulam in Mysore
, India. He received his computer engineering degree from Vidya Vikas Engineering College, Mysore.
Career of Sagar Kashyap
Kashyap started playing tennis at the age of 12. He kick started his professional career in 2005 as a line umpire for Fed cup in New Delhi
. He also participated as a line umpire in ITF events in Bangalore
. He was a national level player but turned towards umpiring. He rose to the rank of a supervisor. He was a level 1 chair umpire in ITF events. This permitted him to officiate up to second round. He participated in a workshop which held in Mumbai
and became a white badge umpire.
In the year 2009, his first international journey began. The year saw him doing the Swedish Open ATP, Swiss Open, Chennai Open, Kingfisher Mumbai Open, WTA Sunfeast Open Kolkota
, ATP Qatar and Dubai Open. In the year 2011, he became the youngest Indian to officiate in Wimbledon Championship.
