Kaptan Singh Solanki is now serving as the Governor of Haryana, a renowned politician and the well known face of Indian political hemisphere.
Kaptan Singh Solanki was born on July 1, 1939 in Madhya Pradesh. He is hailing from Bhind District. He is the veteran leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On 27th July 2014, he was sworn as new Governor of Haryana by replacing Jagannath Pahadia, who served as the Governor of Haryana from July 27, 2009 to 26th July 2014.
Since August 2009, Kaptan Singh Solanki was the member of the Parliament of India representing Madhya Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Indian Parliament.
Kaptan Singh Solanki in his early times studied at Vikram University, Ujjain. Later he studied in P.G.B.T. College of Ujjain and Maharani Luxmibai College, Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
In his early career, Kaptan Singh Solanki served as the teacher in Banmor in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. It was from 1958-1965. Later, Kaptan Singh Solanki served as the Professor at P.G.V. College, Gwalior from 1966-2000. In August 2009, he was elected as Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha. Kaptan Singh Solanki also served as the Member of Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution. Later in July 2010, He came in the chair as the member of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. In April 2012, Kaptan Singh Solanki was re-elected to Rajya Sabha for second term. On August 2012, he was again elected as the Member of Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution.
