Varun Badola has been seen in almost all the channels of the television making a mark in the world of tellydom. The very name of Varun Badola at once takes us back to the memories of the very popular serial Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand. Varun was born on 7th January, 1974 in New Delhi to Vishwa Mohan Badola. He did his schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in New Delhi. Badola spent his childhood in Ahmedabad. After college, he started working to fulfil his ambition to become an actor.

After the struggling period he got a call from Balaji Telefilms for Koshish. Koshish Ek Asha was among the first ventures of this talented actor Varun Badola. Portraying the character of Neeraj in this serial needed a lot of homework but things started getting simple once the audience accepted him in this role. It was probably his ego, which made him accept the role, which later proved to be a turning point in his career.

His work in popular soaps like Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Rabba Ishq Na Hove, Astitva-Ek Prem Kahani, and Aek Chabbi Hain Padoss Mein speaks volumes about his immense talent in the arena of acting. In the last serial Varun plays the character of Sandeep babu who is an agonizing musician uncle of his `mohalla` or locality. His subtle performance in this soap allows the other characters in the show to shine through.

The talented actor has added another feather to his hat of success in this serial by scripting a few episodes. His background as an assistant director helped him to pen down the scripts. His cameo in the seral Ghar Ek Sapna also allowed him to have his share of freedom. He felt the character was interesting and not dragging as well as sharp enough to draw the attention of the viewers. For him the most important feature that made him do this role was the economics factor.

In Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand the audiences see him portraying the character of a lover boy. Then again in Astitva-Ek Prem Kahani he enacts a completely different role. In this soap he is cast as an opportunist who marries an older woman only to ditch her, followed later and subsequently stamped his authority on the telly underbelly.

He also appeared in the celebrity dance show named Nach Baliye 2 with his wife Rajeshwari Sachdev and was one of the semi-finalists. He has also been a constant participant of the Star Parivar Awards and has performed very well in them too. He also won the Best Actor Award once for his performance in `Astitve-Ek Prem Kahani`.

He worked in three Bollywood movies named Haasil, Charas and Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh.

Varun married singer-actress Rajeshwari Sachdev. They are blessed with a son. He adopted a seven years old girl named Hasina.
