This superbly talented actor seen in almost all the channels of the television has made a mark in the world of tellydom. He hails from uttarkhand and was in Delhi from his childhood to his post teenage and is now permanently settled in the tinsel town. But he still believes that he is a `pahadi` by culture, nature and behavior.

He remarked in a particular interview that he is attached to the state of Uttaranchal in more ways than one. It is not only because of he holds the surname of `Badola` but mostly because his parents have given him such culture, which he is very proud of. Koshish Ek Asha was among the first ventures of this talented actor Varun Badola. Portraying the character of Neeraj in this serial needed a lot of homework but things started getting simple once the audience accepted him in this role. If he were given the choice he would like to try his hands in both the forms. He claims that he has two godfathers. The first among them is his father, Vishvmohan Badola who taught him the basics of acting and the other is Tigmanshu Dhulia, the person who assisted him for the last few years and who also taught him everything about filmmaking.
