Sindhanur is one of the major taluks in Raichur district of Karnataka, India.

Sindhanur is the total area of 1567.70 sq.kms. It is famous for growing Sona Masuri paddy and also the taluka is number one in Tractor selling point of India.

Sindhnur in Karnataka is located at 15.78° N 76.77° E.It has an average elevation of 377 metres. Sindhanur in Karnataka has a vast area of paddy fields irrigated by water from the Tunga Bhadraleft bank canal. 65% of land is well irrigated with paddy being the main crop, grown twice a year.The other crops being cotton, jowar and bajra.

Sindhanur in Karnataka has 1 tehsil,1 Taluk Panchayat,34 Gram Panchayatsfor 174 Villages. Amog the festivals Hanumanji Jatra is famous. This festival is held in Vaisakha about May, lasts for three days. A cattle show is also held as an adjunct to the religious fair.
