Salman Khan, the famous Bollywood star is the eldest son of celebrated screenwriter Salim Khan and his wife Salma Khan .He has two brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan and two sisters Alvira and Arpita .He was born on 27 December, 1965 and made his debut with the film Biwi Ho to Aisi in 1988 where he played a supporting role.

His first movie in the lead role was Sooraj R. Barjatya`s romantic blockbuster `Maine Pyar Kiya` released in 1989.Since then there has been no looking back and even today continues to be the most dependable actors of the industry. His first film won him the Filmfare Best Debut Award, and a nomination for Filmfare Best Actor Award.1990 with only one release did not prove to be a really lucky for this Bollywood star.
