He started his career on television as an assistant director to B.P. Singh for C.I.D. and later for `Achanak 37 Saal Baad`. He played the character of Saloni`s boyfriend in the serial Just Mohabbat. In the much popular K-series soap Kkusum, he played the role of a rich spoilt brat Nakul who was head over heels in love with the daughter of the renowned industrialist Abhay Kapoor, Kali Kapoor. He was also playing a comic role in the serial Shararat. He also appeared in a host of commercials including Levi`s BPL, Chloromint, Fun Republic, Frooti. But the major break in his career came when he was offered the role of Yudi/Prem in the popular soap `Kasauti Zindagi Ki` under Balaji Productions.

He shot to the limelight within a very short span with his character. He had never imagined that this role would get such a huge response in spite of the buzz after a few days of shoot that this character is going to rock like anything. The main reason for the popularity of this character is because Yudi/Prem had his own sense of humor, style and persona. In short it is much different from the rest of the characters that he portrayed. He is also seen anchoring different shows from time to time.
