Kitu Gidwani, the famous model and actress is a Sindhi by birth. She has appeared in a host of movies as well as several serials in the Indian Television. She completed her schooling from Fort Convent School. In the days of graduation she was seen inclined towards the French culture and soon after she appeared in a number of French plays. After that her fans saw her acting in English plays directed by Janak Toprani. After that she acted in some television serials. The major turning point of her career came when she was offered to act in a French film called `Black`.

Kitu made her acting debut with several short films, which won her many prestigious national awards. She also went on to a premier role in her first feature film `Rukhmavati Ki Haveli` in the year 1992. Another feature of hers known as Dance of the Wind in 1997 was highly appreciated and won her a slew of awards all over the globe, including the Most Popular Film at the Channel 4and also the Best Actress at the Nantes Film Festival in the December month of 1998. This award recognized her outstanding achievement for the role of Pallavi in `Dance of the Wind` directed by Rajan Khosa. In the year 2001 she was also roped in by the ITC Limited to promote Wills Sport Lifestyle brand of clothing. In the television she made her debut in the year 1984 in one of the first super hit soaps called Trishna and then went on to make her mark in the popular soap Swabhimaan. To her credit she also has shows like Air Hostess and Junoon in her kitty. At present she appears in the multi-starrer Hindi soap called Kulvadhu. Now she wants to do only one show at a time. She intends to explore her talents in many other ways other than acting and does not want to confine herself on the sets the whole day. She has never chased anything and has always been an impulsive and instinctive individual.

Kitu Gidwani claims that working with a fresh star cast in Kulvadhhu is really exciting. Casted opposite Milind Gunaji she feels fortunate, as she believes he is a very talented actor and having Anuj saxena as a producer is also great as he is a very classy person and also a good human being. She didn`t pursue her film career much as she never had that killer instinct. She claims that being an actress is part of her life and not her life itself. She only prefers to do work which will help her to keep with her mental and physical health. She is also into Latin Ball dance for the last five years and it is a complete high for her. She is a very balanced person but also a little more introvert. She wants to do couple of films a year and practice more of meditation so that she can strike a balance between television and films. In her personal life she seems to be extremely contended. She is in love with Sujay Sood who is a New York based writer. This extremely versatile actress has a large fan following who sincerely wishes her to add more feathers in her hat of success in the years to come.
