Geeta rani is the Indian weightlifter .She is the winner of a gold medal of the Women`s +75 kg category at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and has received the 2006 Arjuna award. Sangrur-born Geeta Rani (25) is extremely hard working girl and this was the reason that despite having passed only Class VIII, she is now an Inspector in the CRPF on the basis of her performance at the national and international level. She has also won three silver medals in Asian Championship in 2004 and a bronze medal in the Afro-Asian Games in Hyderabad in 2003, he added.
