The town of Dafahat is located in the Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal.

 Dafahat is a town located in the Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal in India. As per the 2001 India census, 11,323 people inhabit the town. There is a demographical balance with 50% males and 50% females. Children, less than 6 years of age, constitute 22% of the population. The town has an average literacy rate of 36%, which is lower than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy and the female literacy is respectively 44% and 27%.
