The Cities of Manipur, enclaved in blue hills with an oval shaped valley at the center, are so beautiful that Mrs. St. Clair Grimwood described the state as " A Pretty Place more beautiful than many show places of the world" while the Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru honored the state with the title of "Jewel of India".
