Perched at a height of about 321 meters (1053 feet) above sea level, Chhabra is a city in the Baran district of Rajasthan near the border of Madhya Pradesh.It is around 60 Km south of Baran, the district headquarters.
The near by attraction of the place is Gugor Fort. The region has a good communication system well connected with other places by air and rail. Kota Airport is the nearest airport. Chhabra Gugor Railway Station is on the Baran - Guna rail route. It is located at latitude of 24.67° N and longitude of 76.83° E.
According to the 2001 census report,Chhabra had a population o9f 22,795 inhabitants.Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47% .17% of the population is below six years of age .Chhabra has an average literacy rate of 60% slightly higher than the national standard of 59.5%. Male literacy rate is 70% and female literacy rate is 50%.
