Amongst various pranayamic `Asanas` , Bhrumadhya- Drsti or the Frontal Gaze is a special type of eye exercise

Bhrumadhya- Drsti or the Frontal GazeAncient saints arduously practice various types of Pranayamic `asanas`,each related to different parts of a human body. Infact the asanas are named after the part to which it is related. In this way, Bhrumadhya - Drsti got its name, as it is associated with the involvement of the frontal gaze of the person who is carrying on this exercise.

Bhrumadhya- Drsti or the Frontal Gaze is quite popular amongst people of the contemporary society also. On can practice Bhrumadhya- Drsti or the Frontal Gaze as an integral part of another exercise, Siddhasana or else one can execute it quite independently. Bhrumadhya-Drsti is a Sanskrit word, which involves fixation of eyes between the eyebrows. If one takes the Sanskrit word Bhrumadhya separately, it means the space between the eyebrows. Bhrumadhya- Drsti or the Frontal Gaze is a fine exercise for the mind, though needs to be carried out with lots of precaution and care. With expert supervision of Yogic therapist and doctors, one needs to execute it on a regular basis.
