Small hilltops covered with forests adorn the beauty of this attractive place and the beauty of Mountain River Satgudum leading to the alleys of Tribal villages is sure to enchant the passing fancy of the tourists.

Location of Duarsini
Duarsini is located around 13 km from Bardhaman town in Purulia district which marks the border of Indian states of Jharkhand with West Bengal. Duarsini is a village bordered by undulating hills and lush forests. The forest is dotted with shal, piyal, shimul and palash trees with the Satgurang River flowing across.

Tribal Culture at Duarsini
At night one can hear the music of intoxicating "Madal", (drum) reverberating from the tribal village creating an atmosphere of jungle madness. They celebrate a number of festivals all over the year. Major attractions of this place are the villages of tribes like Santhal, Munda, Shabaradh, and Kheriya.

The easiest way to reach Duarsini is travelling 12km from Galudi and cross the West Bengal border entering the Purulia district. It can be visited both from the Bandwan and as well as Purulia. The best time to visit there is any time of the year except rainy seasons. The arrangement for cottages and lodging are maintained by the Forest Development Nigam. The dining comes complimentary when staying in the cottage.
