Anchetty Durgam Fort is located in the district of Krishnagiri in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. , the structure was occupied by the British East India Company in 1791.
 
 Anchetty Durgam Fort, Deccan FortsAnchetty Durgam Fort is one of the popular monuments of Tamil Nadu. It is also known as Anchettidurgam Fort. The fortress is located in the modern district of Krishnagiri in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The geographical coordinates of the fortress are latitude 12.590°N and longitude 77.890°E.

Anchetty Durgam Fort was occupied by Hyder Ali, the Dalwai or de facto ruler of the kingdom of Mysore, during the 18th century. Later his son Tipu Sultan of Mysore ruled over the fortress. However, the structure was seized and occupied by the army of the British East India Company in July 1791.
