The acting career of Karishma Tanna took off with the popular tele-soap `Kyunki`. That was her first role in the television. She was also seen in many commercials for reputed brands like Nirma, Lifebuoy, Stayfree, Hair and Care and others. She has played lead roles in the serial Kahin To Milenge, in which she portrayed the character of Tanisha, the rich and pampered girl with a heart of gold. Then she also appeared in another soap koi Dil Mein Hain in which her character of Kruttika saw a major transformation from a sweet and innocent girl who would do anything for her best friend to a negative one who also plotted the murder of her best friend`s husband. In the most popular tele-serial `Kyunki` she enacts the role of Indu who is a dumb girl, a chatterbox but with an impish charm. Karishma Tanna also made a hurried entry into Bollywood movie Dosti-Friends Forever which had popular star cast including Bobby Deol and Akshay Kumar. In this movie she had played a cameo. But she has preferred to keep mum about the whole experience. According to popular sources she took up to act in this project because she could not resist the temptation of working with a huge star cast and a big banner. She enacted the role of Bobby Deol`s sister in this film but now realizes that it was the biggest mistake of her life. All her fans sincerely hope that she would learn from her mistakes and keep a safe distance from Suneel Darshan directed movies. This enamoring actress does not like to plan her future though and just takes her day as it comes. If not an actress this damsel would have preferred to be an airhostess or designated in an ad agency.
