Balachandra Akhil is a right-handed batsman of the Karnataka cricket team. He was born on October 7, 1977 in Bangalore, Karnataka. He is also a right-arm medium-fast bowler of the team.

The "First-class" cricket career of Balachandra Akhil started in 1998/99. Till then, he has played in altogether 43 "First-class" matches with an average of 24.54. His total scorecard reading in these matches is 1301 runs, which includes ten half-centuries. The highest score of Balachandra Akhil in any of the "First-class" matches is 80 runs.
