Aatish Kapadia is a famous scriptwriter and has penned the popular daily soap Baa Bahu aur Baby of the renowned production house named Hats Off Productions. He enjoys scribbling on the notepad and has crossed a milestone in his professional career of script writing. He is not only the writer, director and co-producer of the popular serials Baa Bahu aur Baby, Khichdi, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai but also the director of the same. All the tele-soaps penned by him have been primetime success stories. When asked that why he wouldn`t get back to acting he states that he is a very impatient individual and would get bored putting on make up and waiting for his shot. Being the director he is at complete liberty to chop off the scenes, which do not appear to his liking. He has been contemplating to start acting once again. They have already formulated the ideas for the next season. In the next series the serial will depict the Sarabhais seven years from the past and will also show their growth and development. He believes that it is primarily the characterization, which makes the shows work. The way he presents the society and paints his characters is noteworthy. He likes to look at life with a twist and has to look around. He also remarked in a recent interview that the job of writing is very strenuous and exhausting. It tires him very much and is very conscious about his work in fact he is very honest with his work and doesn`t like to let it go at its own pace. He has no time for theater now but misses the earlier experiences badly. He would not like to write for films except his own. He absolutely couches for the fact that television is a writer`s medium and also thinks that writers are not given due respect. He also constantly keeps on fighting for his rights as everyone does not want to acknowledge the truth. He also does not prefer to comment on the current scene on television as he admits that he is happy doing what is working on. He only thinks that people should have a social responsibility as it comes into their living rooms.
The relationship of Aatish Kapadia with filmmaker Vipul Shah is awesome. In a recent interview Vipul claimed that he does not want to get into the arena of writing because Aatish does it in a splendid manner. When Aatish gives him the dialogue sheet he does not have to write the scene number, character name, locations or any such other points because he knows his work very well.
