Juhu Beach is famous for its beautiful sunsets in Mumbai. One can access this tranquil beach from Vile Parle, Santa Cruz and Andheri as well.

Juhu Beach, MumbaiJuhu Beach is a magnificent place for tourists and is located 18-kms north of the city centre. It receives strokes of turquoise waves day and night. It is situated in the central suburb of Mumbai, and offers cool breeze. One can access this tranquil beach from Vile Parle, Santa Cruz and Andheri as well. It is one of the best places to view beautiful sunsets, when the ceaseless horizon appears splendidly tinted in shades of red and orange. This magnificent sight of the sun sinking into the vast Arabian Sea, offer an amazing panorama that is hard to forget. The beach generally gets more crowded on weekends. On weekends one can take the joy of, acrobats, cricket matches, dancing monkeys, toy sellers and every other type of Indian beach entertainment. Vendors ply on the beach calling attention to their wares, which are mostly souvenirs like T-shirts and cute little Indian dolls made from seashells.

As the sun sets the Juhu Beach hides in the feel of fun fair, where local ferry riders and food stalls horde the area. Just like Chowpatty Beach, Juhu Beach is also a very popular place to spend time in the evening. Juhu happens to be one of the posh areas of Mumbai, and one can find houses and bungalows of famous Bollywood film stars. It is a popular shooting destination among the film directors.

This beach is very visited by many people round the year. Juhu Beach is spread across a stretch of 6 kms up north in Juhu-Vile Parle area of western suburbs in Mumbai. Juhu Beach is a bourgeois paradise, filled to the gills with screaming children, families, courting couples and adolescents. To the north, there lies the Versova Beach, popular for its fishing community. Juhu Beach is not advisable for swimming and sun-bathing, but is a perfect place to enjoy the tasty local food and admire the mesmerizing sunsets.
