He has also been the broadcaster of All India Radio, TV and Private Channels. He is also a Freelance Columnist. He has received Sportswiter of the Year (1996-97), Dingko Sportswriter Award (1999), Jamini Sunder Guha Gold Medal(2002) and Sahitya Akademi Award(2006).
