Sachan is largely prepared by the boys and girls of the tribe though they are not allowed to eat together. They are supposed to eat along with the general public. Everyone in these feasts is treated with sumptuous meals but those who eat Sapang have to follow some traditional etiquette while eating. Sapang is a type of traditional feast which is taken in the inner most part of the house, which is served by the family members in an age old traditional method. In case of Sachan the Becha of the family arranges the share of the meat in such a manner that each share is already demarcated and when it is served every one receives their particular share to eat. Those who eat in Sachan and Sepang then sit together to decide the way in which the chief is given a return for the feast with a jar of Zu the next day. Thus the traditions of sharing Sachan and Sepang are the two most traditional methods of having community treat. The society of Kuki tribes largely depends on the traditions of the land which are occasionally reflected in the festivals of Kuki tribe. This article is a stub.
