Diana Hayden born on 1973 is an Indian model turned actress. She hails from the Indian city of Hyderabad. She has won the Miss World pageant in the year 1997. She won the title when she was 24 and became the third woman from India to win the crown. She did her debut in the film "Ab Bas" in a guest appearance. She did her schooling from St Ann`s High School Hyderabad. She underwent a lot of training sessions before the competition of Miss World where Shaimak Davar trained her for her dance and fitness. Mickey Mehta was responsible for diet and fitness and Bharat and Doris Godambe for hair and make-up. She was also in touch with Ritu Kumar for her costumes.

With Diana Hayden being crowned Miss World 1997, this becomes the fourth time in as many years that Femina Miss Indias have bagged the world`s most coveted beauty titles. She performed a hat trick at the pageant by also winning the Miss Photogenic title and the award for Best Beachwear.


Very few people are aware of the fact that Diana Hayden is trained pilot and wanted to get the professional license once the competition was over. She has appeared in very few movies which include "Othello: A South African Tale", Adaa - Will Kill U in 2006, "All Alone" in the same year and "Tehzeeb". In the movie, "Tehzeeb" she made a guest appearance and portrayed the character of Sheena Roy. Apart from being in movies, she also hosts a popular show called "Biography" on the History channel.

Diana Hayden is an Anglo Indian and comes from parents who are separated. As a teenager, she used to be very tomboyish. She is into playing chess, horse riding and so on. She is an ardent reader of Robin Cook, Stephen King, and Robert Ludlum. Diana won her award for Best Look in Designer Beachwear and also won the award for Miss Photogenic.

Diana Hayden loves playing chess, horse riding, partying, and driving people round the bend. Stephen King, Robin Cook, and Robert Ludlum are some of his favorite authors and her favorite book is The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum.

As Miss World, Diana Hayden became the name and face for L`Oreal and ambassador for CRY (Child Relief and You).
