Bapu Gayadhani Award is given to the heroic children in India .

The Bapu Gayadhani Award is given to the heroic children in India, as a part of the National Bravery Awards category. The National Bravery Awards are mainly presented to those rarely brave children under the age of 16 years, who fight against all obstacles and show outstanding deeds of bravery and selfless sacrifice. The Bapu Gayadhani Award was incepted in the year 1988 and since then, a number of fearless children have become the Bapu Gayadhani Awardees. All these awardees are considered to be the best courageous children in the country and they receive their award from the Prime Minister of India, along with the other National Bravery Awards winners.
