Sweta is basically from Allahabad. Here in Mumbai she lives with her husband Raja Chaudhary and six year old daughter Palak. Sweta is quite different from her reel life to real life. In her real life, she is very talkative, childish but smart and over all she is people`s person. According to Raja, `Strong sense of Decision-making` is the only similarity between Sweta and Prerna.

Sweta always wants to be recognizing as a very good dancer as Helen. Once in a dance competition she was offered to do a play named, "Khoobsurat Bahu". From then her acting career started to roll on with two more plays, as "Kirayedaar" and "Sardari Begum". Sohail Dattani has given her first chance in a television serial, named `Ristey`. Her first break with Balaji telefilm`s "Karam", where she has appeared in a negative character. By watching her potentiality, Ekta kapoor offered her the lead role in `Kasauti zindagi kay`.

In Nach Baliye-2 she proved that, except heartthrob acting, she could also perform sensational dance. In between her acting she had also done few commercials and a dance number with Daler Mehendi.

Sweta has done two films - as Anjali in"Din-e-intazar hue iss kaddar" and Tabbasum in "Madhoshi". She is also doing a Bhojpuri film, which is produced by her husband. Now she is going to play a sixty-year-old lady in her serial. According to her, playing an old lady is not at all degradation of career, generation leap is a normal thing and it carries an essential aspect of the story afterwards. While doing films, she simultaneously keep in touch with small screen also to taste the variety. This shows her simplicity and ground to earth reality for which audience can relate her with themselves.

Among other tough competitors of the Balaji Telefilms at the year-end she received a `Jodi number one` award with Ronit Roy in 2006`s Star Parivar Award fro `Kasauti zindagi kay` and nominated for best actress awards in tally award.com ceremony.Today Sweta Tiwari`s name does not need a second thought for recognition.
