Sweta started her career from modelling and now turned as an actress of small screen.
Sweta is a Delhi based model. During her graduation, starts ramp shows and took part in 'Famina look of the year' contest. There she got an offer for modelling in Mumbai. But she came to Mumbai after her graduation in English Literature from Jesus& Mary College.
Sweta is married to Manav Gohil, who is also a well-known actor of television industry.
She is very determined and joyful person.Instead of getting break in Fashion world, by chance she entered into small screen. 'Suhana safar' aired on Zee, was her debutant serial. 'Yeh kahan aa gaye hum' and 'Darr'were her next two serials.
'Ghar Ek Mandir' was her first serial with Ekta Kapoor. Which made her to shift Mumbai from Delhi. She has given a new dimension to her potentiality by accepting the 'Pallavi's role in 'Kahani ghar ghar ki', which is a negative character. Previously Pallavi's character was pure picture of Marwari bride. But Sweta had given it the modern touch, by discussing a lot with Ekta. Sweta says, in negative role one can allow a little bit more liberty. She likes Pallavi's character, because she was the creator of that role. She didn't attend any training for acting. For her it is natural and in-built process. In 'Kkusum' she played as Esha, a strong-headed girl, who was not fully negative, but live at own will kind of girl.
On Set Max she is hosting in one project called 'Current Bollywood'. It is an interesting stuff of filmy news, page-3 items, gossips, top countdowns etc. she like anchor- based programs, where she can act as just like herself. She is also playing in 'Kumkum' and 'C.I.D'.
In Telly awards, she had received the best actor in negative role
