The name Ronit Roy is famous much more earlier in film Industry than as `Rishabh Bajaj` or `Mihir Virani` in television world. People know him since his debut in "Jaan tere naam" film, which was a silver jubilee hit in 1992. But his real recognition increases through the small screen. People really think him as the most cool dude and the style icon of the television.
Ronit Roy`s real life is as struggling as reel life. He always wishes to be a star one-day in film industry. In Ahmedabad his friends were always teasing him to go to Mumbai. He came to Mumbai in is twenties and started to work with Subhas Ghai and even lived in his house for several days. Initially Subhas ghai dissuaded him for acting due to uncertainness of the film industry. So he switch over as management trainee in Sea Rock hotel in Mumbai, but still have the hope of acting one day. During that period, his father died, so he quit that job. But later on joined again with Subhas Ghai as an Assistant director for earning more. But he realizes it is not as easy to become a director, So he joined Sanjiv Sharma and Mansoor Khan`s company `Pilot communication` to learn about editing, photography, script writing etc. He also have directed few episodes of Chitrahaar in Doordarsan and done several commercials as a model.
After getting a fair chance and giving smash hit in his debut, he failed to manage his charisma in other movies.

But he did not disheartened by his failure, again energized and started his own security service company as "Ace security and protection". There he managed to work with the team of Lagan, Dil Chahata hai, Na tumjano na hum, Arman, Yadain and Sathiya.
After three years service in business world, he got a call from Balaji Telefilm for `Kammal`, then offered the role of `Rishav Bajaj` and next was the `Mihir Virani`s role.
It was quite challenging for him to do the role of Mihir Virani after Amar Uppadhyaya and Indra Kumar. Because, audience didn`t relate that role with anyone else. But he does not let down the audience`s expectation. People remarked him that Bajaj`s role will dominate over Mihir`s role, but afterward Mihir`s role raced ahead of Bajaj`s role.
