Amar Upadhyaya is born on 1st August. Amar grew in Malad suburb of
Mumbai and studied chemical engineering after completing his schooling. He married Hetal, who is an engineer by profession and has two kids Aryaman and Chenaab. Amar started his career with the serial `Dekh Bhai Dekh`. He also appeared in other serials like Arzoo, Suhana Safar, Tulsi, Kalash, Aruna Irani`s Mehndi Tere Naam Ki, Kkusum, Kasauti Zindagi Ki, C.I.D and others. He rose to fame with the role of Mihir Virani in
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi but soon left it to act in movies.
Amarr next ventured into the big screens. He acted in movies like Dahshat (2003), Dhund- The Fog (2003), Jodi Kya Banayi Wah Wah Ramji (2003), LOC-Kargil (2003) and 13B (2009)but the movies did not fair well at the box office. Subsequently he returned to the small screen and is currently doing Chand Ke Paar Chalo on NDTV Imagine.
