Beaches of India along the Indian coastlines are some of the most profitable sites for tourism.

Since ages, the beaches of India have been reflecting the spectacular beauty of Indian coastlines that attracted thousands of tourists all round the year. The magnificence harmony of the sun, the sea and the sand has silhouetted the beaches of India whilst drawing people from all over of the globe.

Marina Beach in Chennai Beaches of India extends almost 6,000 km long coastline, which boasts some of the finest beaches in the world. Whether to feel the romance of the azure seas or to wiggle the toes at the sepia sands the beaches of India are indeed the most sought after places. Besides the profit making industry of tourism, beaches of India are also the loved destination for honeymoon goers. Indian beaches offer beautiful surrounding and serene atmosphere, thus providing ideal retreat for vacation lovers.

Surrounded by water on three sides, the vast peninsular coastline of India offers an incredible display of beaches. Both the West and East Coast of India offer luxuriant vistas of palm on the Arabian Sea shores and the Bay of Bengal as well. On the Indian west coast there are miles of sandy beaches interrupted by attractive bays and rocky headlands. The most popular beaches of India are that of Goa and Kovalam at Kerala. The best known beaches of India on eastern coast are the beaches of Mahabalipuram and beaches of Orissa, called Gopalpur-on-Sea.

Goa has a desirable stretch of beaches complete with tourist friendly facilities and accommodation. Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Candolim Dona Paula and Vagator are the chief attractions that offer magnificent scenic beauty laced with palm trees, thus giving the final aesthetic touch. Vagator is one of the most beautiful of the soft white sand beaches that Goa is widely famous for. The inhabited area around this beach of India is lush green, dotted with coconut palms, friendly farmhouses and pictorial Portuguese bungalows.

Kerala is best known for its marvellous beaches. Along the 600 Km. length of the lush green vegetation of Kerala coast, is blessed with many fine sanded, internationally renowned beaches and rocky headlands. Kovalam with its three adjacent crescent beaches and Eve beach in the middle are the best known ones. Kanyakumari beach is close to Chennai and is just two hours away from Kovalam. The three oceans - the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet at Kanya Kumari. The scene of sun rising and sun setting here are soul stirring moments. Marina Beach in Chennai is believed to be the second longest in the World, while Mahabalipuram offers matchless splendor along its coastline.

Juhu Beach in mumbai Mumbai can be called the hub of beaches of India. Chowpatty, Juhu Beach, Arangal Beach, Manori Beach, Marve Beach, Gorai Beach, Kelwa Beach, Nirmal Beach, Arnala Beach, Alibag Beach, Bordi Beach, Mandwa Beach and Kihim Beach are some of the well-known beaches in Mumbai.

Besides these, there are many beaches of India along the peninsular coastline of India. The beaches of India are a priceless resource of beauty and recreation and the most sought after destination for nature and adventure lovers.
