Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College (SNHLMMC) is a well known medical institution in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The college came into existence in 1963 with a view to provide medical education to the students of the state. The college started its operations with a capacity of 75 annual admissions and the capacity was increased to 100 from 1964. The college was established as a result of an initiative of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. It was only the second Municipal Corporation - next to Mumbai, to establish a medical college of its own.

Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College (SNHLMMC), Ahmedabad has blossomed into one of the most advanced and prestigious medical colleges in the country at present. The college has been working with the main objective of not only producing good doctors but also good citizens, who will have empathy for the poor patients.

A large number of courses are offered in Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College (SNHLMMC), Ahmedabad and the college offers the courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The main course that the college offers is the MBBS. The other courses include MD in Anesthesia, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Pathology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Radiology. Apart from that, the courses like MS in Anatomy, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Surgery; M.Ch in Neuro Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Pediatrics Surgery; and Diplomas in DA, DCH, DGO are offered, as well.
