RJ Jimmy started his career in media through the job of a DJ since 1986, later he joined as a DJ at Taj Bengal in 1993 and conducted major shows in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Goa and other prominent cities. RJ Jimmy is an expert in handling events and interacting with clients. Moreover he also conducted workshops on radio in IIM, PAILAN and other reputed institutions. The expertise of RJ Jimmy finally gave him opportunities of setting up radio stations in India but internationally also.

RJ Jimmy joined Times FM in 1994 as Deputy Manager Programming and Production. His job responsibilities included supervising the production and programming team in Kolkata and also to conceptualise programs and monitor all technical aspects. RJ Jimmy conducted workshops all across the city and formulated outstanding marketing strategies. He also performed as Radio Jockey for few specialized shows, such as Britannia Little Hearts Love is on the air, Power Dance that was sponsored by Eveready for 3 years in 5 centers in India.

In June 2000, RJ Jimmy joined Saregama Broadcast Software as Head - Programming Broadcast Software Division. Eventually, he became the heart and soul of the company and was not just responsible for programming, budgeting, formulating various strategies but also had to design and set up 4 studios in metro cities and looked after it`s over all operation control.

RJ Jimmy, the multifaceted spirit joined Radio Today Kolkata (now known as Digital Radio Kolkata Broadcasting Ltd.) in May 2002 as the Station Head - Red FM 93.5 Kolkata. RJ Jimmy hosts the most popular romantic message based show Dil Se and also handles a major part of the National Core Team. RJ Jimmy is responsible for all the programming, budgeting, sales, marketing, and strategy formulation of the station. RJ Jimmy`s audiences love him for his full of energy and a go-getter attitude.
