Established in 1979 and located in Bangaluru, the MS Ramaiah Medical College is considered to be one of the premiere medical institutions in the state of Karnataka. According to the admission criterion set by the MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangaluru, the candidates are required to have passed 12th standard and should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (taken together). They are also required to have passed English as one of the subjects. The age of the candidates should be at least 17 years on the 31st December of the year of admission and the foreign nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and People of Indian Origin, should submit due papers as proof of their identity. Some of the candidates are also required to have the eligibility certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) to pursue medical education programmes in the state of Karnataka.
