The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Bhagalpur offers a large number of courses in various fields of medical science. The courses are offered at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and the courses are offered in the subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, F.M.T., P.S.M., Medicine, T. B & Chest, Skin & V.D., Paediatrics, Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Eye, E.N.T., Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, Radiology, Dentist and P.M.R. The college admits 50 students every year and the classes in the college start from August. The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Bhagalpur admits students by selection of candidates through a two phase combined medical Entrance examination test that is common to all medical colleges of the state. The minimum educational qualification for appearing in the examination is passing I. Sc. or equivalent qualifying examination. The qualifying percentage of marks in the aforesaid examination is 50% for the general, backward and female students. However, the percentage is 40% for the S. C and S. T category candidates. The college offers the courses of study and follows the examination system of the university to which it is affiliated. The rules and regulations are broadly in conformity with the recommendations of the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. |
