As the story unfolds, they cheer, mime dialogue, and sing the melodies along. The screening resembles the performance of a well-known mythological tale in a village square. There are people in the country who have seen the film around twenty to thirty times. Shahrukh Khan first showed his romantic looks and gestures to win the hearts of almost all the women in the nation in this particular film. All young girls started to dream having such a humorous, romantic, daring and honest lover. DDLJ has become a Bollywood landmark. The film brought about a new age in Bollywood.
Another smash hit came along the way of Shah Rukh in 1997 with Dil To Pagal Hai. A comedy-drama, this film had a storyline depicting the love life of dancers in a musical dance troupe. The film was first to be titled as `Maine to Muhabbat Ki Hai` but later was given the tile `Dil To Pagal Hain`.
