The Baroda and Uttar Pradesh teams represented the Elite Group B in the knock out level of Ranji Trophy, 2007-08.

7 teams played against each other in the Elite Group B of the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 and the BCCI put the teams into the group, on the basis of their performance in the previous edition. The teams were not coming from any particular region and they actually represented various Indian states in the premium domestic cricket tournament of India. The teams included the likes of Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra, Bengal, Hyderabad and Baroda and they competed with each other very hard for claiming one of the top spots in the group. Securing a berth in the knock out level of the Elite Group was also another principal objective of all the teams. However, only the teams like Baroda and Uttar Pradesh eventually became successful to do so from the Elite Group B, as they earned the highest points from the group matches.

The Orissa and Uttar Pradesh teams played against each other in the first of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 and the two teams played the match at Cuttack from 03-06 November, 2007. The Uttar Pradesh team won the match by a good margin of an innings and 10 runs for earning 6 points and the Orissa team remained pointless in the match. The second match of the groups aw the teams of Punjab and Andhra playing against each other at Amritsar from 03-06 November, 2007. The match remained drawn during the specified period of time and the match officials awarded the Punjab and Andhra teams 3 and 1 points, respectively for the match. The next match of the group was played between the teams of Bengal and Hyderabad and the match was held at Kolkata from 04-07 November, 2007. The drawn match saw the Bengal and Hyderabad teams earning 3 and 1 points, respectively from it.

The fourth of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 involved the teams like Andhra and Uttar Pradesh and the match took place at Anantapur from 15-18 November, 2007. The Andhra team earned 3 points and Uttar Pradesh earned 1 point from the match, as it remained drawn during the stipulated duration. The teams of Baroda and Bengal were involved in the next match of the group and the two teams played the match at Baroda from 15-18 November, 2007. The winner of the match was the Baroda team with a margin of an innings and 59 runs and the team also earned 6 points from the match. The Bengal team failed to earn any points from the match. Then, the Punjab team played against the Hyderabad team in the next match of the group and the match took place at Mohali from 15-18 November, 2007. The Hyderabad and Punjab teams earned 3 and 1 points, respectively from the drawn match.

The Hyderabad team appeared in the seventh of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 also and this time, it played against the Baroda team at Hyderabad from 23-26 November, 2007. The drawn match saw the Baroda team earning 3 points and Hyderabad earning 1 point from it. The match between the teams of Orissa and Andhra was the next match in the group and the match was held at Cuttack from 23-26 November, 2007. Playing well in the match, the Andhra team clinched a victory of 102 runs in the match for earning 5 points. However, the Orissa team could not earn even a single point from the match. The Punjab team then played against the Uttar Pradesh team in the next match of the group and the match took place at Mohali from 23-26 November, 2007. The Punjab and Uttar Pradesh teams earned 3 and 1 points, respectively from the match, as it remained drawn during the specified period of time.

The tenth of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 saw the teams of Bengal and Punjab playing against each other at Siliguri from 01-04 December, 2007. The Bengal team clinched a huge victory of 9 wickets in the match and earned 5 points from it. The Punjab team remained pointless in the match. The teams of Hyderabad and Orissa were involved in the next match of the group and the two teams played the match at Hyderabad from 01-04 December, 2007. Clinching a huge victory of 9 wickets in the match, the Orissa team earned 5 points and the Hyderabad team failed to earn any points. The next match of the group was played between the teams of Uttar Pradesh and Baroda and the match was held at Lucknow from 01-04 December, 2007. The Baroda team earned 5 points from the match by clinching a victory of 48 runs. However, the Uttar Pradesh team could not earn even a single point from the match.

The match between the teams of Bengal and Orissa was the next match in the Elite Group B and the match took place at Siliguri from 09-12 December, 2007. The Orissa team played well in the match and clinched a victory of 6 wickets to earn 5 points. The Bengal team failed to earn any points from the match. The teams of Hyderabad and Andhra then met with each other in the next match of the group and the match was held at Hyderabad from 09-12 December, 2007. The closely contested match saw the Hyderabad team clinching a narrow victory of 3 wickets to earn 5 points. The match also saw the Andhra team remaining pointless in it. The Punjab team played against the Baroda team in the next match of the group and the match was held at Amritsar from 09-12 December, 2007. The Baroda and Punjab teams earned 3 and 1 points, respectively from the match that remained drawn during the stipulated duration.

The Baroda team appeared in the 16th of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 also and this time, it played against the Andhra team at Vishakhapatnam from 17-20 December, 2007. The match remained drawn during the specified period of time and the match officials awarded the Andhra and Baroda teams 3 and 1 points, respectively for the match. The next match of the group saw the teams of Bengal and Uttar Pradesh playing against each other at Kolkata from 17-20 December, 2007. The match was won by the Uttar Pradesh team with a margin of an innings and 152 runs and the team also earned 6 points from the match. However, the Bengal team could not earn even a single point from the match. The Punjab and Orissa teams were involved in the next match of the group and the two teams played the match at Mohali from 17-20 December, 2007. The Punjab team earned 5 points from the match by clinching a victory of 7 wickets and the Orissa team remained pointless in the match.

In the 19th of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08, the teams of Baroda and Orissa played against each other at Baroda from 25-28 December, 2007. The match remained drawn during the stipulated duration and the match officials awarded the Orissa and Baroda teams 3 and 1 points, respectively for the match. The Bengal team then played against the Andhra team in the next match of the group and the match took place at Kolkata from 25-28 December, 2007. The Andhra team clinched a victory of 101 runs in the match for earning 5 points and the Bengal team failed to earn any points from the match. The last of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 involved the teams like Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh and the two teams played the match at Hyderabad from 25-28 December, 2007. The match saw the Uttar Pradesh team clinching a victory of 132 runs and earning 5 points from it and it also saw the Hyderabad team remaining pointless.
