The Orissa and Uttar Pradesh teams played against each other in the first of the Elite Group B matches in the Ranji Trophy, 2007-08 and the two teams played the match at Cuttack from 03-06 November, 2007. The Uttar Pradesh team won the match by a good margin of an innings and 10 runs for earning 6 points and the Orissa team remained pointless in the match.
