Om Shanti Om. A graduate from Modern School, New Delhi, she has a degree in History from Lady Sriram College.
Gauri Khan used to host a weekly Hindi music countdown show, "Oye", for a music channel during the 1990s. She is the face of the fashion line, Aftershock. Gauri Khan also appeared on the cover of the Indian edition of Vogue magazine in January 2008. Gauri is part owner and part-producer of the production company,
Red Chillies Entertainment (RCE) along with her husband
Shahrukh Khan. Gauri has two children Aryan Khan born 12 November 1997 and Suhana Khan, born 23 May 2000. Gauri Khan was also crowned the queen of Bollywood at the Zee Cine Awards in 2008.

Shah Rukh saw Gauri Chibba in a party and they had a light college going affair for few months. When Gauri`s family got a small indication of their daughter`s intimacy with a Muslim boy, they immediately shifted to Mumbai to avoid any such relation. On knowing this Shahrukh had come to Mumbai to look for his girlfriend. He did not know the city at all and he was also unaware of where she was staying. He only knew that she loved to swim and so was likely to be around a beach. Despite knowing that chances to find Gauri were slim, he was adamant to find her.
In those days, Hindu-Muslim relationships often faced too many oppositions and obstacles. Gauri`s family was a staunch Hindu. Gauri was four years younger to Shahrukh and had wavy brown hair descending below her shoulders and a perky nose. Though, Gauri was not a classic Indian beauty with large eyes and fair skin, but she was very attractive, fashionable and congenial enough to make friends fast. Shah Rukh got her phone number the third time they met on October 25, 1984.

Eventually, when Shahrukh Khan decided to take up his film career seriously and started approaching eminent directors, Gauri started to believe her beloved`s capability. Gauri`s parents were not ready to proceed with this relationship, but Gauri understood that she could not stay without this man. She decided at only twenty-one years of age that she would take a leap of faith and marry Shahrukh Khan. Shah Rukh convinced her that if she didn`t like Bollywood, he would quit. Her parents finally accepted when they saw their daughter was adamant. Shah Rukh and Gauri married on October 25, 1991 after seven years of courtship. First they married in court, and then a traditional Hindu wedding, in which Shahrukh Khan rode to the venue on an elephant.
Only three people from the film industry were present at the wedding, Viveck, Rajiv, and Aziz Mirza.
Gauri and Shah Rukh are probably one of the rare couples in Bollywood sharing a unique relationship for more than 20 years, with a perfect balance of understanding, trust and affection. Both of them are ready to sacrifice anything to stay together and lead a peaceful life. Their children are growing following both Hindu and Muslim traditions. They celebrate Eid, Ganesh Puja, Laxshmi Puja and Christmas in their household every year.
