
Yash Raj Films or YRF is a company formed by a celebrated Indian film director and producer Yash Chopra. He initially worked for his brother`s production company, B.R. Films and later in the year 1970, set up his own company. Yash Raj Films offered three consecutive hits in 2004 and 2005, both the films, Dhoom and Bunty Aur Bubli were box office hits.
Yash Raj Films also launched its own music label called Yash Raj Music and produces DVDs, videos and VCDs under the banner of Yash Raj Films Home Entertainment. Yash Raj Films Home Entertainment has attained the rights for classics created by Raj Kapoor and his production company R.K. Films along with B.R. Chopra and his production company B.R. Films. Yash Raj films unveiled its new film studio in 2006. The Yash Raj Films sell their music in digital format through the site along with DVDs and Audio CDs since 2007. They are also selling their music on iTunes. Yash Raj Films tied up with The Walt Disney Company to co-produce animation movies in India in May 2007.

In 2004 the Hollywood Reporter placed Yash Raj Films on number 27 in a survey Biggest Film Distribution Houses in the world; it is India`s biggest production company as of 2006. Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra were the starters in the power list of India as mentioned by the February 2005 edition of the Filmfare Magazine.
In June 2008, Yash Raj Films declared its multi million-dollar collaboration venture contract with Dubai Infinity Holdings. This joint venture is expected to bring Yash Raj Films to Dubai and the company plans to build a large-scale entertainment district dedicated to the prestigious film brand.
The Yash Raj Films Entertainment District shall include theme park attractions, a movie palace, unique hotel zones and many other unique Indian genre entertainment concepts. Every component of the Yashraj District will be based around the Yashraj banner.
