Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. is a Bollywood film production company, which is partially involved in works as a film distributor. On 15 August 1947, Tarachand Barjatya initiated Rajshri Pictures (P) Ltd., the film distribution division of Rajshri. Rajshri`s film production division was established in 1962 and its success indicates that the status of the production company has grown immensely from the level of Dosti (1964) to the most recent Vivaah (2006).

The film production division of Rajshri was set up in 1962. Its first release Aarti was significantly acclaimed and was screened at many international film festivals. This success eventually was followed by Dosti; even this non star-cast film was a blockbuster hit at the box-office. Dosti was honored with the National Award for the Best Hindi Film of the Year (1964) and the film also won 6 Filmfare Awards. During the era of 1960s to 1980s, Rajshri productions became immensely successful. Its major movies include Dosti, Geet Gaata Chal, Uphaar, Chitchor, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, and Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye. The critics acclaimed all these movies by Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd.

Rajshri`s filmmaking brought about a Golden era in Bollywood with spellbinding films. Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. continued with movies like Saaransh. At the end of the 80`s, the entire film industry doomed into melancholic films, however at this moment, Rajshri gave a break to its in-house talented director Sooraj R. Barjatya who presented Maine Pyar Kiya. This film was a musical teenage romance, which went on to become one of Indian cinema`s biggest success and grossed unimaginable profits. The film acquired 6 Filmfare awards including awards for the Best Film. Sooraj R. Barjatya became one of the leading directors of Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. very soon. He followed up the success of MPK skilfully with blockbusters Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hain with the former being one of the biggest hit in the history of Indian cinema. The film won the National Award for being the most popular film of the year. Most of the films of Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. provided wholesome entertainment and also bagged numerous Filmfare Awards and Screen Awards, including awards like Best Film, Best Actress/Actor and Best Director. Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. has produced some movies like Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and Uuf Kya Jadoo Mohabbat Hai, which made moderate acclaim at the box-office. Rajshri`s 2006 flick Vivah again proved to be a blockbuster. It has also produced two other movies, Ek Vivaah... Aisa Bhi in 2008 and Isi Life Mein in 2010. Both the movies were moderate hits.

Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. has another wing, which produces TV soaps and has given ample hits like Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki and Pyaar Ke Do Naam --Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam. In November 2006, Rajshri Productions Pvt. Ltd. launched a broadband entertainment portal and titled it Rajshri. This portal offers streaming and downloading of various forms of content including movies, music videos, concerts and documentaries. The digital content belongs to its own production house and also from other production houses. The online streaming of the content is free but a particular fee is charged for downloading.
