Moozhikulam Kochukuttan Chakyar was born in the year of 1928. He was Kutiyattam performer and teacher. Moozhikulam Kochukuttan Chakyar was born in the Ammannur Chakyar family of hereditary Kutiyattam artists in Kerala. Moozhikulam Kochukuttan Chakyar was trained under many Chakkiyar gurus, including Mani Madhava Chakiar. Consequently he mastered not just the Ammannur tradition of Kutiyattam, but also those of Perinchallur, Cheria Parisha, and Koyappa. Moozhikulam Kochukuttan Chakyar has acted for several temples, culminating in the Ramayana prabandha kuttu i.e. Play about the Ramayana over forty-one consecutive days at the Kutalmanikkam temple in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur district. In 1981, Moozhikulam Kochukuttan Chakyar began to instruct the younger generation at Margi, in Thiruvananthapuram.
