Ranji Trophy, 1994-95, South Zone League Matches
The toppers in the zone were the Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu teams.

The South Zone of the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 was comprised of 6 teams, all the regular participants of the tournament, coming from the Southern region of India. The tournament is considered to be the most popular and fruitful domestic cricket tournament in India and the teams that played under the South Zone included the likes of Hyderabad, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Karnataka and Andhra. All the teams tried their best to become one of the top three teams in the zone so that they could get a chance for competing in the knock out level of the tournament. However, only the teams like Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu eventually became successful to do so from the zone, as they earned total of 24, 16 and 12 points, respectively from the zone. The three teams went on to compete with the top teams from the other zones in the knock out level of the tournament, for winning the coveted championship title.

The first of the South Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 was played between the teams of Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu and the two teams played the match at Secunderabad from 10-13 December, 1994. The match remained drawn during the stipulated duration and the Tamil Nadu team earned 2 points from it, on the basis of its first innings lead. The Karnataka and Andhra teams played against each other in the second match of the zone and the match was held at Bangalore from 10-13 December, 1994. The Karnataka team won the match with a very good margin of an innings and 79 runs and earned 6 points from it. The Andhra team remained pointless in the match. The third match of the zone that was played between the teams of Kerala and Goa was also played during the same timing from 10-13 December, 1994 and the match took place at Kozhikode. Playing very well in the match, the Kerala team earned 6 points by clinching a victory of an innings and 48 runs and the Goa team failed to earn any points from the match.

The Goa team then played against the Karnataka team in the fourth of the South Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 and the match was held at Margao from 19-22 December, 1994. The Karnataka team played wonderfully in the match and clinched a victory of 243 runs earn 6 points and the Goa team remained pointless in the match. The next match of the zone involved the teams like Tamil Nadu and Andhra and the two teams played the match at Madras from 19-22 December, 1994. The match was declared as an abandoned one without even a single ball was bowled and the match officials awarded both the Tamil Nadu and Andhra teams 2 points, each for the match. The teams of Hyderabad and Kerala then played against each other in the next math of the zone and the match took place at Secunderabad from 19-22 December, 1994. The Kerala team earned 2 points from the drawn match for having a lead in the first innings.

The seventh of the South Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 saw the teams of Andhra and Kerala playing against each other at Vishakhapatnam from 28-31 December, 1994. The match remained drawn during the stipulated duration and the match officials awarded the Kerala team 2 points for the match, as it was having a lead in the first innings. The next match of the zone was played between the teams of Hyderabad and Goa and the two teams played the match at Secunderabad from 28-31 December, 1994. The Hyderabad team played very well in the match and clinched a huge victory of 9 wickets for earning 6 points and the Goa team remained pointless in the match. The match between the teams of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka was also played during the same timing from 28-31 December, 1994 and the match was held at Madras. The match saw the Tamil Nadu team earning 2 points from it for having a lead in the first innings.

The Tamil Nadu team appeared in the tenth of the South Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 also and this time, it played against the Kerala team at Palghat from 07-10 January, 1995. The Kerala team clinched a victory of 123 runs in the match to earn 6 points and the Tamil Nadu team failed to earn a point from the match. The next match of the zone saw the teams of Karnataka and Hyderabad playing against each other at Bijapur from 07-10 January, 1995. The winner of the match was the Karnataka team with a very good margin of 9 wickets and the team earned 6 points from the match. However, the Hyderabad team could not earn any points from the match. The Andhra and Goa teams played against each other in the next match of the zone and the match was held at Margao from 07-10 January, 1995. The drawn match saw the Andhra team earning 2 points from it, on the basis of its first innings lead.

The Karnataka team appeared in the next match of the zone also and this time, it played against the Kerala team at Thalassery from 15-18 January, 1995. The match was won by the Karnataka team with a very good margin of 270 runs for earning 6 points and the Kerala team remained pointless in the match. The Andhra and Hyderabad teams played against each other in the next match of the South Zone and the match was held at Vijayawada from 15-18 January, 1995. The Andhra team won the match by a narrow margin of 4 wickets to earn 6 points and the Hyderabad team failed to earn any points from the match. The last of the South Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 was played between the teams of Goa and Tamil Nadu and the teams met with each other at Margao from 15-18 January, 1995. The Tamil Nadu team earned 6 points from the match, by clinching a victory of an innings and 69 runs and the Goa team remained pointless in the match.
