Ranji Trophy, 1994-95, North Zone League Matches
Delhi, Haryana and Punjab teams became the toppers in the zone.

The North Zone of the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 saw the participation of all the 6 regular teams that had been playing in the tournament for the past editions. The teams were mainly representing various states from the Northern region of India in the coveted and most popular domestic cricket tournament in India. The teams like Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Services played against each other in the zonal level league matches in the North Zone. The main objective of all the teams was to secure a birth in the knock out level of the tournament. However, only the teams like Delhi, Haryana and Punjab eventually could do so from the zone, as they earned total of 18, 14 and 12 points, respectively from the zonal level league matches.

The North Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 started with the match between the teams of Himachal Pradesh and Haryana and the match was held at Una from 10-13 December, 1994. The Haryana team played very well in the match for clinching a victory of an innings and 10 runs and the team also earned 6 points from it, while the Himachal Pradesh team remained pointless in the match. The teams of Delhi and Services played against each other in the second match of the zone and the two teams played the match at Delhi from 10-13 December, 1994. The Delhi team got a very good start in the tournament, as it won the match by a good margin of 237 runs and also earned 6 points from it. The Services team could not earn even a single point from the match. The Punjab team then played against the Jammu & Kashmir team in the next match of the zone and the match took place at Amritsar from 10-13 December, 1994. Though, the match was cancelled due to some unavoidable reasons, the match officials awarded the Punjab team 6 points for the match.

The Punjab team was a part of the fourth of the North Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 also, as it played against the Delhi team in this match. The match was held at Delhi from 13-16 December, 1994 and the drawn match saw the Punjab team earning 2 points from it for having a lead in the first innings. The Delhi team failed to earn any points from the match. The match between the teams of Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir was the next match of the zone and the two teams played the match at Bhiwani from 17-20 December, 1994. This match was also cancelled due to some unavoidable reasons and the Haryana team earned 6 points from the match. The next match of the zone was played between the teams of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and the match was held at Mandi from 17-20 December, 1994. The Punjab team earned 6 points from the match by clinching a huge victory of 10 wickets and the Himachal Pradesh team remained pointless in the match.

The Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi teams then played against each other in the seventh of the North Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 and the match took place at Delhi from 23-26 December, 1994. The Delhi team played wonderfully in the match and earned 6 points, by winning it with a margin of an innings and 132 runs and the Jammu & Kashmir team failed to earn any points from the match. The next match of the zone saw the teams of Punjab and Haryana playing against each other at Chandigarh from 24-27 December, 1994. The match remained drawn during the specified period of time and the match officials awarded the Punjab team 2 points from the match, as it was having a lead in the first innings of the match. Then, the Services team played against the Himachal Pradesh team in the next match of the zone and the match was held at Delhi from 24-27 December, 1994. The winner of the match was the Services team with a very good margin of an innings and 125 runs for earning 6 points and the Himachal Pradesh team remained pointless in the match.

The Himachal Pradesh team appeared in the tenth of the North Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 also and this time, it played against the Delhi team at Delhi from 31 December, 1994 - 03 January, 1995. Playing very well in the match, the Delhi team clinched a victory of an innings and 310 runs for earning 6 points and the Himachal Pradesh team failed to earn any points from the match. The next match of the zone saw the teams of Haryana and Delhi playing against each other at Gurgaon from 06-09 January, 1995. The drawn match saw the Haryana team earning 2 points on the basis of its first innings lead in the match. The teams of Services and Punjab then met with each other in the next match of the zone and the two teams played the match at Delhi from 06-09 January, 1995. The match also remained drawn during the stipulated duration and the Punjab team earned 2 points from the match for having a lead in the first innings.

The next match of the zone was played between the teams of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and the match was held at Una from 07-10 January, 1995. The match remained drawn during the specified period of time and the match officials awarded both the Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir 1 point, each for the match. Then, the two teams of Services and Haryana played against each other in the next match of the zone and the match took place at Delhi from 13-16 January, 1995. The Haryana team played very well in the match for clinching a victory of 8 wickets to earn 6 points and the Services team remained pointless in the match. The last of the North Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1994-95 was played between the teams of Services and Jammu & Kashmir and the two teams played the match at Delhi from 22-25 January, 1995. The match saw the Services team winning by an innings and 159 runs for earning 6 points and it also saw the Jammu & Kashmir team remaining pointless.
